Finding Art in Children’s Literature – MoMMA 2017

Our MoMMA Art Show (Moms of Magnificent Marvelous Prairie View Artists) is a Spring evening event dedicated just for students and their Moms (or special guests). Taken from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the art show is a way for all of our PV artists to show off their amazing talents.

In collaboration with our Art-a-Baloo program, this year’s theme is Finding Art in Children’s Literature. Our student artwork will include artwork that reflects principles and elements of art based on children’s books! Please join us on Thursday, May 11th at 6 PM for local author illustrator, Dana Lind. The Art Gallery Open House will begin at 6:30 PM!

In order to support the Prairie View Art program (and if you are so inclined), you may “purchase” your student’s artwork at the show (all donations directly benefit the Prairie View Art-a-Baloo programming). Aren’t able to attend? You are welcome to make your donation via PayPal or credit card (all donations are tax deductible) – the form can be found on our website with this post)! All donations directly benefit the Prairie View Art-a-Baloo program – thank you for your generosity!

We understand busy schedules. We also know how much time your artist spent on their show-worthy MoMMA submission. Even if you can't make it, you can "purchase" your student's artwork and we will add a SOLD sticker to their masterpiece! All donations directly benefit the Prairie View Art-a-Baloo program! Your donation is also tax deductible (30-0408530). Thank you for your generosity!
  • Suggested donation amount of $5.00 per student. Become a Prairie View Art Patron for a donation of $20 or more!
